I looked at getting one of these and putting a Raby mill in it. In reading the California vehicle code, I had serious reservations about getting it registered for the road, unless it would pass 2006 emmissions. You might get it to pass, but would have to put fuel injection on it, which is not such a bad thing. I went and got a smog exempt car so I would not have to worry about it.
It will happen when I retire and move back to Texas, or up to Lake Tahoe and can register it somewhere other than here. Maybe when the Mexicans take over Kalifornia they will ditch the smog laws.
