This cue in the pics is obviously a restored one. The plastic butt piece is made of non original plastic. The original plastic wasn't a solid color, more grey & white blended, to simulate abolone shell.
Common replacement, since bouncing the rubber bumper (more like smashing after a missed shot) would expand the bumper enough to shatter the original butt piece.
