I ride a MC, which isn't geared/powered to wheelie at 65mph. (not that I would ever even think of riding a wheelie... and being amazed at the free floating feeling it entails...amazed that the flick of the wrist can adjust vertical position... nope, never tried it :-) ) The liter bikes are naturally geared to wheelie at around 65mph, with the GSXRs seeming to be the bikes of choice for the brain-power challenged.
but...I happened to be on the freeway one night when a bunch of stunt riders started doing what you're talking about...
Imagine ~10 guys standing on the tail of their bikes doing vertical wheelies for miles on end, at full 65-80 mph. It was funny when they'd go under the freeway overpasses because it would light up the underside of the concrete....
It was fun to see, but you can bet I wasn't riding right behind them, I don't want to get taken out by someone that stupid!
on a 911 note...a friend who rode a GSXR 750 told me about trying to roll-on with a 996 turbo that demolished him. I can't imagine that, as when I rode a GSXR 1000 on the freeway I could flick my wrist in 2nd gear and almost instantly go 120 with another 5000 rpm till redline... basically it's a ~350 pound machine with 185 hp
