Hehehe.... I just went through this. Had a hot water under slab leak. Had 5 or 6 different plumbers come out to give me estimates to run about 30' of pipe through the ceiling. One guy quoted me $7,250!!!! I ended up going with the second cheapest one for $1800.

So the guy shows up with his helper (both hispanic) and is done in 3 hours. Yes, I feel ripped off. But what do you do. I did my due diligence and still got taken. Maybe I should be a plumber.
