28 and 35lbs sounds right. I was picturing the pan on my 73, which does not have anything to do with the sway bar mounting. Sorry
I just swapped out the sway bar on my 77 today & I used a lot more that 14lbs on the nut and the allen screw, but was also mindfull of the thread I saw here a while ago from the pelican that broke the allen screw & spent most of the weekend removing the remains from the underside of the bellypan.
