Well, I picked it up.

Any initial recomendations on shells for:

1) Home defense?

Federal Premium Tactical shells, reduced recoil rounds

2) Skeet?

I'd select a 26 inch barrel that has a removable choke feature so that you can select the best choke for either skeet, trap, or upland bird hunting.

3) Deer?

I'd buy a rifled barrel(if the shorter barrel in the photo isn't rifled) and use Federal Premium with the Barnes Saboted slugs which make great use of a rifled shotgun barrel.
