My son is serving in Okinawa as crew chief on medium lift helicopters. We pray daily for him and all the other Marines who stand guard for us.
Thank you for sharing the story of this fallen hero. It drives home the point that freedom is not free. We live our coddled, protected lives because many like him gave their all in outposts all over this world.
What astounds me is that they willingly serve when many here don't understand the breadth and depth of their commitment, nor share their belief in their mission.
