Well Almost....Sadam was a CHECK on Iranian power in the region...Our troubles with Iran go back to Carter and the Embassy takeover in the 70s.
The real loose canons in the world is Al Qaeda... that is a SUNNI Phenomen and IS and was largely funded by Saudis....
