I don't smoke pot. Never have. I also think most of the medicinal benefits of "herb therapy" can be achieved with traditional phamaceuticals that may have fewer health risks.
Having said that, when the people of the state of California vote to legalize medicinal marijuana, the federal government has absolutely no right to interfere. Yet another abuse of power and waste of tax money.
