Yeah, I think that's just the state of modern sports, at least in the bigger-market towns.
Whether you listen to the the Sox on the radio or watch on TV, you hear things like "this is the (sponsor here) inning, every strikeout recorded by a red sox pitcher and (sponsor) donates $200 to the Jimmy Fund" or "Here's the Chevy inning; if the fourth Red Sox batter hits a Grand Slam (contestant) wins a new Chevy Trailblazer".
Well, in any case, I was understandably disappointed in the 2nd half that the Red Sox had, but I suppose they couldn't do anything about some of those injuries. Epstein had better make some serious moves in the offseason and get some pitching. Get Zito and Schmidt in here!
