I am still of the opinion that infrastructure, schools, etc is what makes for a first class city. Thats the biggest con going these days. The Maloof bros, who own the Palms in Las Vegas and the Sacramento Kings are trying to blackmail the city to got a new arena paid for by my tax dollars. They will end up in the building for less than the property tax is on it!!!!!!! Whats worse is the city fathers are trying to weasle the money for this into the general fund so we won't get to vote on it.
If it was really such a good investment (the Maloof's claim) why aren't they putting any of their cash in it?
