Timing Belt replacement, mecahanics referalls
Im in Carson Ca. and the mechanic i use to deal in Lawndale (Autobahn) with was a expert with 911's which i used to own. And he's nowhere to be found and I think he did 944;s but i wasn't into them when i had my 911. The 944 i have now is almost to where i want it cosmetically, I had new carpet installed completely, headliner, rear seat re-upholstered, rear european valance, new paint job. The only things i need left to complete my mission to bringing this once ugly duckling into a swan is getting more wheels and tires, ready to go to 18's instead of the 15's phone dials thats on them and im going with the 944 Dino Wood Dash (Natural Mahogany) and the Dino Wood steering wheel, and some door jams, with european sidemarker lights and after that then its a wrap. The former owner told me it was at the miles where the timing belts needs has to be replaced, so I haven't been driving it at all except to the paint, and upholstery shops and the car drives nice but don't want to chance doing any damage. I just bought the complete timing belt kit, the belts
