The goal of this chip was to address complaints 944S owners had of hesitation, poor throttle response, and poor idling. I wasn't going to try to get more power out of it until the next iteration. But as it turned out this chip alone accomplished the initial goal with flying colors, and increased the output power by almost 4HP. We are pleased. The chip he is testing next will be the production chip if the test works out as well as this one did.
I anticipate release of the 944SMAX chip 11/01/06. I will notify Pelican and other resellers upon its release so they can add it to their product offering as they have done with the 951MAX chips. The retail price of the 944SMAX will be $175.00USD.
