Yeah, Bloody Ban. "The first casualty when war comes is truth": it would seem that a lot of the stories about him were gross exagerations, more likely battle rallys. A Patriot battle cry was "Tarleton's Quarter", synonymous with "No Quarter". I don't think either side has a corner on brutality in any war.
