In my yellow wire gremlin trek, I replaced the ignition switch and it made no difference with my no start. It was an unpleasant job. Check the extensive threads on the yellow wire to starter phenomenon.
Solved my no start with a Hi torque starter- after replacing everything else, and trying all of the remedies offered in the threads.
It's all good stuff to check out though.
