I think they messed up time a bit. Starbuck was in the baby farm maybe a few months before the colinization of New Caprica. Then a year passed from colinization to Cylon arrival in the season two finale. Then four months more to the season three premiere. Now add that all up and you have 1 1/2 year or maybe a little more. Given a 9 month gestation you'd have a 9 month old baby. Plus their two year old looks 3 1/2, but it's hard to get a 2 year old to memorize lines so I can forgive that one.
Plus Starbuck's husband (I forget his name) makes the comment that he would have been dead for 12 months if Starbuck hadn't come back for him. Well it had to be over 16 months because all that happened before the colinization of New Caprica.
No big deal I guess, but my wife and I were trying to straighten timelines out after watching the premiere.
I also thought it was lame how they show the ex-prez about to be shot at the end of the episode, and there she is in the next episode preview. At least keep us in suspense a little.
