My neighbor has a modded to hell wrx and there is no way my old 911 can keep up to it, but not many cars can. Close to 400whp is a lot of hp, but he has gone through numerous transmissions/drive trans.
I have a 2002 Saab viggen that is chipped and has a lot more goodies on it-somewhat of a sleeper; I mean it is a Saab for Christ sakes. But from third gear up I can pull stock sti's no prob. plus a heck of a lot of other cars-to a certain extent. From a stand-still it just spins the tires from first to third-worst gearing in the world.
I was on a wide open highway last weekend and I passed a brand new turbo Porsche. That guy dropped into god only knows what gear and took off like I have never seen a Porsche take off. What I mean is that not many people really drive all that fast, but this guy must have been going at least 150-160 if not more because I got the old saab up to 130 and he was way ahead of me. I mean my car is pretty fast of the freeway, but I felt like I was doing thirty mph.
