Well, I have to back up the exec from Malibu here.
I saw Mr. 914-6 during lunch today, and had a very interesting conversation about the Targa in question.
All he really knows is the car is much more than meets the eye. The engine, while a Porsche, is something other than a 2.4 and the only way to find exactly what it is, is to pull the heads - and no one wants to do that. One way or the other, the engine can pull beyond 7,500 RPM and has the gearing to go along with the RPM. And as Kurt says, Marco (914-6) knows his *****e.
Um...in short, I'm not a betting man, but if I were, I'm not sure my money would go on the turbo.
