I am in what you could consider the ideal situation. STI as daily driver and 911 '76 with 3.6 engine as track toy.
The STI is supposed to be the wife's car. HAHA
I LOVE both of them!! My point of view in your case will be the following: you already had the SC and enjoyed it a lot!!, why not trying a proven beast like the STI.
I have to say that on the track the Pcar is more fun!!...but the STI is still great! For the daily driving I would chose the STI.
Just my 2cents.
