.

So, the seller comes on and writes a lot of "stuff"...mostly about how he's a wizard driver and gets paid more than most do in a month.

Irrelevant, I think.

here's the nut of it:

from the ebay auctionhe states:

I GUESS THAT I SHOULD DISCUSS THE MECHANICAL ASPECTS OF THIS CAR.. FIRST THE ENGINE IS A CORRECT 1973 911S ENGINE #6330055... IS IT THE ORIGINAL ENGINE? (I DONT KNOW AND I DONT CARE!) EARLY 1973 "S" CAR, EARLY 1973 "S" ENGINE ... I DO KNOW THIS ENGINE RUNS AMAZINGLY STRONG!.. THE ENGINE PULLS VERY HARD PAST 8,500+ RPM WITH NO PROBLEM! (YES PAST THE HIGHEST 8,000 RPM MARK ON THE TACH!).. THE ENGINE DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL MECHANICAL INJECTION (MFI) WITH 013 PUMP... THE SHORT GEARED (HILL CLIMB RATIOS) 915 TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GREAT AND HAS THE RS LIMITED SLIP !...

Right there, it is a "correct" 911S engine. To me, and the resto fo the world, that means it's got 911 parts. The engineers made them so they rev to 7300....of course theres a safety margin over that, but things get pretty interesting pretty quickly over redline. Springs float, rods etc strech and so on.

165MPH is pretty darn fast...AND the car has shorter gearing......so, the combination indicates that this is, at the very least, a highly incredulous claim.

It's simple....the guy stated the engine was a 911s, and that it goes 165. One of the two statements aint true.

Period....

(even if Tom Cruise kisses your ass. (I'd pay him lots to stay away from mine))
