We attended college info night at my son's HS. Reps from public, private universities and military academies were there. The presentation by military reps was intriguing.

They claim to be tier 1 schools, right up there with Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford and UCs Berkeley, LA, etc. Yet, I don't see them listed along with said schools in the US News and World Report Best Colleges publication.

Those in academia, what is your opinion on West Point's, AF Academy or Anapolis' quality of education?

Employers - would you choose a candidate with a degree from said academy and military experience as an officer over someone with a UCLA degree?

Everyone else - have you worked with or know an academy grad? What do you think of their skills and work ethic?
