I know the owner. He and I have done some part trading in the past. He's a good guy. A real enthusiast. He's a bit of a bull in a china store but that's just who he is. It's his personality. No need for any excuses.
He has some great cars and this is one of them. This car could probably pull in another $5k if the car was prepped and the ad was done by Willie the guy who owns California Classix.
The way I see it the thing he's being criticized about, his lack in advertising skill (he's not a flipper), is an opportunity for the bidder. The cars that are advertised best get the highest bids. Buyers who do their own research can save some money.
His information may not be the most accurate so bidders just need to take that into account and bid accordingly. Is he a liar? No. Is he full of it? No. Is he prone to errors about all things Porsche? More than likely. I know I am and I've been an enthusiast a long time as well.
