It wouldn't be the first Porsche that was misrepresented if that is the case.
I'm assuming that anyone who could come up with the reserve figure would also ask for a demo on the car.
If I could buy it, I certainly would ask for that. Then the rubber would meet the road as they say. For that matter it/they (car's capabilities) are only important to the person who can buy it.
Regardless of what one thinks, this car has gotten it's share of notoriety with the posting. If it is the real thing (73S Targa), I'm not sure that the next owner would see the top end performance as the most important characteristic of the car.
