you put in your bid, you know instantly if you bid enough...

it's fire and forget, if you meet the reserve, you'll know, and then it's just a wait to see if somebody outbids you , no different then any other auction

and if the reserve is out of line, then you'll have to make that conclusion when you put your max bid, and get a no cigar result...
you do not have to go putting in fake bids to know that, if you're max bid is not enough , you should know enough
