Sortta, but the big issue is the orientation of the colector flanges, it works out great if there is room in the rear fenders for mufflers ala 993, but n/b 911/964 don't have the fender room so they are stuck w/ a rear mounted muffler and a lot of welding.
The disadvantage of the rear muffler is weight if you use one of the big susage types, or noise if you use some of the smaller aftmarkets.
