Hey Guys,
I recently purchased a set of 951 8" Fuchs for the front of my sled so I need to get some new tires for them (as well as for the almost worn out 245/45's for the 9" rears).
I will be running 225/45's in the front, which limits my tire choices signficantly. It's my daily fun car so treadwear/longevitiy and tire noise are just as important to me (if not more so) than grip...
I currently have 205/55 & 245/45's Yokohama ES100's on 7's & 9's respectively. They work just fine for what I need them for so I am inclined to run them again, just upgrading the front wheel/tire sizes in the process...
There are only a few manufacturers making 225/45's other than Yokohama with their ES100's, and Toyo is one of them with the Proxes T1R. The specs seem comparable to the ES100's and the prices are comparable as well.
Anyone use the Proxes T1R that can share their experiences?
Please don't try and sell me on other brands or using a 225/50 in the front as an alternative, my mind is already made up, I'm either retaining ES100's or switching to the Proxes T1R....
Thanks in advance!
Ralph
