Thanks for the feeback thus far guys, it is appreciated...

Ed, I had S03's on the car before the ES100's and they are indeed a much better tire with respect to grip, but they wear out quickly and the price tag doesn't help. For my daily driving and what I use the car for, a lower budget tire is fine. Comparing S03's to ES100's is apples and oranges (like a 3.2L vs. 3.5L) and isn't a fair comparison imo...let's just say the guys on our SOCG drives aren't exactly leaving me in their dust with their fancy rubber...

Don't care about the wet traction, it never rains in Southern California...

I perfectly realize that using a 225/45 size limits my tire brand choices (see my initial post) but the slightly lower aspect ratio may give me that much more clearance for the 8" wheels. I've test fitted one of them on the rack with a "dummy" tire mounted and "think" I may get away without having to trim the fender wells...I am trying to do any compensation with alignment settings and ride height if possible...

Any more T1R guys with experiences, good or bad?
