That's no guarantee just because a battery is newer...may have a drain in the car that's reducing the battery power or it just could be a bad battery. Put a volt meter on it...should read around 14 volts. If you can... leave it on there and read the voltage while trying to start it....if it dips really low, then have the battery checked at your FLAPS. The clicking is the starter solenoid trying to deliver power to the starter motor but there is not enough power there so it kicks out and then clicks back in again to try and turn the starter again. It could be a weak battery, a bad battery cable or cable connection (either postive or ground), or a bad solenoid on the starter. With it trying to start, probably not a bad switch key...but still possible.
