I recently purchased 2 924 porches 1 1979 other is a 77 924. I'm having a problem with the 79 it seems to start and run and die (30 sec to 1 min long ) when it starts it runs strong and then the gas peddle turns to mush and die sometimes it starts right up other times it won't . I purchased with full reciepts from 79 I got a dentist went out and bought him a new porche . also have between the 2 cars have over $10,000 worth of reciepts new head and motors and something was mentioned about a custom geared rearend . How could I tell if the cars are "s" ? One has a 150 mph speedometer the other is 165 speedometer is one better, in suspension set ups or is there a real difference?Well thank you for any advice . I have so many ?'s P.S these vehicles were pulled out of a backyard in old property missing a couple of parts on one particular car the other is complete might sell one.
