Im kind of in the same boat as you. I bought a 924s so relegate my GTI back to full time daily driver status. I did my first HPDE w/ Audi Club at Shanendoah last weekend. Ill also be at VIR with them in Novemeber. Ill be paddocked towards the back of the paddock with all my VW buddies so come by and say hi. NASA is sanctioning a VW/Audi (but open to all makes) track day on monday the 20th so you can make it a 3 day weekend.
Ive always preferred non slotted rotors (much lighter on the wallet
) so I cant help with the that. As far as pads Im running PFC 97s. Shenandoah isnt the most demanding on brakes when you're as slow as I am
but no complaints here. They are available locally at OG Racing in Sterling so thats a plus too.
