But seriously-To answer your query - There actually is a danger. As tight as govts can sometimes be, this is one area where they realize that the law (speed limit) goes largely unheeded. They actually have laws that supecede the speed limit such as the keep right law. To pass a slower car on the right has long been acknowledged as dangerous. We know that if someone is at 65 mph, people will pass on the right. Therefore it's
illegal to stay in the left lane and impede traffic-even if you are going the speed limit. In other countries that have much higher speed limits, it is illegal, and suicidal to stay in the left lane except for passing.
You can argue the logic in that, but it's a law. A good one imo.
