Your battery has a dilute sulfuric acid in it. If I remember my chemistry, sulfuric acid doesn't attack lead and a couple of other metals, and the chemical reaction in the battery is reversible - that's why the batteries last a long time. The Chlorine in your pool is hydrochloric acid delivered as a salt of some kind (like sodium hypochlorite, or bleach), but it is not friendly to lead. Unless you just shocked your pool, all this probably doesn't matter since the acid concentration in your pool is pretty low, relatively speaking.
