The current rule allows any chip that fits the box...actually, if you can fit any engine management system in the stock enclosure, you can do so. So we see some Motecs actually stuffed into cases at exorbinant prices.
(I am on the rules commitee) And it is currently being discussed. One option is to allow any sytem, and throw out the "in the box" requirement.
So, no, anything goes with chips, LOL>
Assume race gas, and slightly greater compression, and full on header/exhaust systems. Goals are as always, greater power, and broader tq curve. !-3K rpm respnse isn't terribly important.
And as many revs as the mechanical constraints of the engine will allow..
where are you located? What limitations are you faced with when dealing with the Porsche system?
