I was born in 66. From the time I was born until I was about 9 years old we lived across the street from my grandparants.
My house was probably one of the 1st departures from a normal family with my dad in a bike gang and dealing drugs etc.. right in a nice neighborhood. But my grandparents were the epitome if the 50's era.
My grandmother made dinner every night and grandpa was home at the same exact time every night. If I was staying with them, we had to go wash up and "get ready for dinner" before grandpa got home.
Dinner was ready to be served before he got home and the moment he walked in we were to sit quietly and eat everything.
After dinner grandpa would retire to the living room or the reading room and I was to leave him alone until he was ready to play with with me.
Oh, and grandma would be all dressed up in a dress and heals, all dolled up for grandpa. They were probably in their late 40's at the time.
This was in the 70's
