gmund,

I am going through the same thing right now. I am backdating the exhaust on a 1975 911s to 74 heat exchangers and 2 in 1 out muffler. The Pelican web site says:

Oil Line Update: It is important to note that all cars with cross-over exhaust systems (all 1978-89 911SC and Carrera) require the replacement of two oil lines with two older-style ones when installing the SSI heat exchangers (or any 1974 and earlier exhaust). These lines are part numbers 911-107-728-00-M20 (NO front-mounted cooler) OR 911-107-729-10-M20 (WITH front-mounted cooler) AND 911-107-739-10-M20 and are available for purchase below.

I bought the 911-107-739-10-M20 pipe which is the metal pipe that crosses over the transmission end of the engine. The original metal pipe ran across the muffler end of the engine. The new metal pipe terminates next to the engine oil cooler - much farther forward than the old pipe. Part number 911-107-728-00-M20 is the one I have not bought yet - it should be a flexible pipe much longer than your original one shown in the picture.

You say the original short flexible pipe works? Is that right? I haven't got that far yet, but it looks too short. Please clarify.
