I'm doing the 993 heat exchanger mod at the moment. The car is supposed to be ready to pick up tomorrow and hopefully, I'll catch it while it's still on the lift, so I can take some pictures of it. It's a street car, so keeping heat was important to me.
I'm running 1995 exchangers with the 1995 cat...straight out. Muffler bypassed. They fired it up last week, when it was basically mounted (been waiting on heater tubing and tips for the tailpipe portion of the mod)...it sounded waaaay mean. I think it'll need to get on the dyno for a remap though....this is a pretty significant difference in the tuning of the motor.
My understanding through research and speaking with Joel Reiser (PCA National Tech) is that the big difference in power between 964 and 993 was in the exhaust.
