I don't think it's air in the system. That's why I was asking if the coolant was bubbling after shutoff. Usually a sign of a head gasket failure. The fact that pressure is blowing things in the cooling system is telling me two things. First, you have a head gasket leak...second, your radiator cap isn't working and relieving the pressure so something else blows. Check it out before you blow the radiator...plastic on the ends are not real strong. Follow Techno's suggestion and that should provide a lot of information. Coolant smoke (white) at startup is another sign to look for.
