I just bought a 1984 silver carrera. It has 77k orig miles. one problem is that the clutch pedal doesn't return the last 2 inches and grinds occasionally at a stop shifting into first or reverse. At every take off; I get a chatter until the clutch is completly disengaged. After that, it shifts fine with no chatter. I'm hoping it just needs motor mounts with a clutch cable adjustment. The car has been well taken care of over the years with most, if not all of the service records along with it. I haven't gone as far as researching part #'s on some of the hard to read receipts but I've yet to find when or if the mounts were changed. Am I just fooling myself and really I need a new clutch kit??? Any thoughts????
