No disagreement here. That is a big part of the problem with politicians, IMO.

On the other end of the spectrum is my state representative to the state house: Dan Brady. I've run into him dozens of times at various events around town. He makes an effort to strike up conversations with average people and get their opinions. He often does not introduce himself or mention his title. He seems genuinely interested in his constituents' real opinions and doesn't want people to be politely vague around him.

I wonder...would we have a Congress more in tune with their constituents if they were all telecommuters?
