i have a chatter too... but might be different.
88 with G50 tranny
1st and 3rd mostly...only at LOW rpms 800 - 1200 when clutch is fully engaged, it chatters...
If i slow the car down and not touch clutch..take it to 600+ rpm ...it chatters...same with 3rd gear, if i am in traffic and short shift 3rd...chatter....
Just noise, but I dont know what is causing it.
