I have an Osburn 1800 fireplace insert. We love it; very well made and tons of heat.

I bought it because it was the only insert with a bay window; I wanted to be able to see the fire when I was laying on the couch at the other end of the room.

We really like a wood fire, and we thought we'd save a few bucks on heat. Turns out we pretty much heat our 2000 sq ft house with it. It is very efficient, mind you the regency & napolean ones are even more so.

A couple issues:
-The fan can be obnoxiously loud on its higher settings. It sounds like a hair dryer. No remedies for this, as far as I have been able to find out.
-If the baffles are the same design as mine, it's a pain to take them apart to clean your chimney (which you MUST do every year)
