The effort to defeat Proposition 87 is funded in large part by Chevron Corporation. That's about all one needs to know.

I may not like new taxes and may not like some of the particulars of this bill, but in general if it's bad for big oil, it's probably good for the public-at-large.

I am still "undecided" on this measure. Not sure which is going to win out - my disdain for big oil companies (particularly those that do little or nothing in the way of sustainable/renewable energy) or my disdain for government bureaucracy and new taxes.
