I'm not in total agreement re Winchester values jumping. There has been a spike due to the plant closing but I'm not sure it will continue for all the post-64's. There's a few dogs in the pre's also, 24 and 67A come to mind.
Buy something you like the look and feel of, feel good if it increases in value over time. I can think of better ways to invest money.
I don't want to be thought of as a 'dealer of death' but have held a FFL since '85, transfer 1200 or so/year. Hard to keep those 10/22's on the shelf.

Additionally, Winchester isn't out of business, they closed the plant in the North East, was that New Haven or something like that? The rifles and shotguns are being made someplace else.
