I just put together a few columns in an Excel spreadsheet last summer after I bought my '88 Carrera. Because I receive a car allowance from my employer I track those deposits to my business account then add in the appropriate expenses to find out how the money is being spent.
My wife would never take on that job! I have trouble just getting her to maintain any sort of budget for our household expenses.
