Thanks John, I appreciate all of the wonderful information. Doing the brakes is the first of many mods I plan for this little 85.5. There is suspension mods in the planning - I have Weltmeister Track springs on the ready, along with 30mm front, and 19mm rear sway bars, and Billstein Struts/shocks. They will all go in this weekend. As soon as I get all of the brake parts the brakes will be next. A roll cage in the plans. Next spring I will remove the 2.5Ltr motor in favor of a 3 Ltr (S2 or 968) fully race built with a supercharger. Oh yes and 17" rims all around. I am eyeing the ROH rims for strength and light weight. I will have to experiment with the 245 tread width for front, and 285 tread width for rear, to see how well they will run on different tracks. If these sizes of treads are a bit wide then I will down size to what works best for road race. I think I will have to roll the rear inner fender openings for the 285's to fit. I will keep tuning and experimenting, and hopefully have a quick race car in a couple of years.

Oops I almost forgot about the transaxle, to which I'm looking for a Turbo LSD with cooling lines - Lightened flywheel and clutch assy. in front. All running gear from S2 or 968 heritage.


Also - what are the spacer blocks that are needed to mount the Turbo S front calipers? Calliper brackets?? Would Pelican Parts have these?
