Yup, we only interrmittanly started and spun the starter. It will upon starting its spin go off the charts in its draw, but settles around 30A free spinning. Everything seems to engage just fine and the starter appears to operate correctly.

We are wondering because when attached to the car, the starter seems to not have enough juice to spin the starter ring.
