he doesnt post much anymore, but that guy saved my butt a few weeks ago. i drove my daily driver (err, the more reliable one - ahh, the sweet irony) to a small town north of sacramento a few weeks ago. i was going to buy a hunting bow. three blocks from the shop, my car started belching smoke. i opened up my hood and found tranny oil spewed out of the breather hose onto my exhaust. needless to say, my tranny was done. i limped it to a shop, and they hooked my up with an ENTERPRISE rental. well they tried....since i only needed it one direction, they wanted to charge me $2 per mile. my only option was to hitchhike or something to the sacto airport 40 minutes away, and rent the car there to be returned at a bay area airport. PITA! well, i called westy and he picked me up. i pleaded for a ride to the AP, and he told me "HELL no, the airport is FAR!". but he loaned me an extra truck. he elected to drive me to the bow shop, and waited until i was measured and bought the damn thing. he didnt want my trip to be a total loss. with his truck, i didnt need to find a ride to drive me back up. bonus!
