i need to rebuild the connector at the end of my positive battery cable, as mine is starting to fray pretty badly... everything still works, but for the sake of adding something to my job list, this is it.

what are my options? do I need to replace the whole cable? can i just cut the big connector off and buy some sort of new connector for the end?

went to an auto parts store, canadian tire, and talked to a couple guys in the shop... they told me to cut my positive wire and solder in a cut battery ground cable... which i think is ridiculous
