I am very disapointed with the Military Exchange stores and Apple and the return/repair/warranty system.
1. My iPod is under warranty (6 months old)
2. Apple replacement program does not support servicemembers overseas at APO FPO address.
3. Local Military Exchange does not deal with iPod returns/repairs beyond 15 days after purchase.
You see the delima?
So in my frustration I call iPod Germany and do my best to get my point accross that I live in Germany but have a US purchased iPod. My goal was to get a service center in Germany to replace it...and all be damn it worked.
I need to drive 1 hour to the nearest center but they did tell me they will replace it under warranty.
So all in all it's pretty much a dead subject, other than the fact that I had to jump through hoops and the two organizations that should have helped just kicked me to the curb.
Moral of the story...they **** you at the drive through. lol
