OK I have stored the car last year in a rush, I was leaving the country and when I got back the car was running rough, rough idle , uneven acceleration, huge dips in powerband. when I stored the car last year it was running perfectly it was half full of gas, and stayed in a very humid barn for the cold northeastern winter, I know "mea culpa" I did a bad thing to my s2 baby...

that was when I got back in june for two weeks, I had no time to play on the car , and had to leave the country for business again. This poor thing has been sitting in the barn for nearly a year now.

I tought that the rough idle and acceleration could be the bad gas left in the tank, dirty injectors, bad wires etc...

Now that I wil take my time to winterize and use a decent garage to store my S2, I would like to get your input on some stuff about tune up.

the car is a 1989 944 S2 82 000 miles original from a to z.

I planned to replace the DME chip, which one do you recommend?

Replacing the plugs, plug wires and cap , what is the best bang for the money considering my engine is stock , I thought about magnecor 8.5 but people are saying they dont last, dont fit well or simply unclip from the plugs, but this is mostly from people who use them on flat sixes.

what about fuel injector cleaner what you recommend?

I would like to flush the old fuel from the tank but is there a plug? what is the most effective way ?

I would like to change the cam tensionner also and check the valve clearance.

prefered oil filters? etc . just tell me your experiences with your s2s.
